Why Are Health Screenings Important for Your Child?

Your child’s health is the foundation of their growth, learning, and happiness. Early health screenings allow us to detect potential issues before they become significant, making it possible to take quick and effective action. By joining the Superpower Project, you’re taking an important step in securing your child’s future well-being so they can thrive in all aspects of their life.

The Superpower Project Journey

Here’s how your child’s health journey unfolds through our Superpower Project, step-by-step:

Register Your Child

Description: Look out for the registration email and fill out the online consent form to officially enroll your child. This is the first step toward a comprehensive health check-up and an exciting experience for them!

On-Site Health Screening at School

What to Expect: Medcare’s medical team will visit your child’s school to conduct a set of screenings including:

  • Eye Exam
  • Hearing Check
  • Back Posture Analysis
  • Dental Health Assessment

(These screenings are customized based on grade-specific health needs**)

Superhero Card: Each child receives a Superhero Card on their screening day. For completing the screening, they earn a star’s stickers on their card! This card will also serve as their ticket to a healthy future and a chance to win exciting rewards.

Health Screening Report The results of these screenings will be available at your child’s school with the medical officer for your reference

Raffle Ticket: After the screenings, children will receive a raffle ticket. Parents need to fill in their child’s details on the back of this ticket. This ticket must be kept safe and brought to the clinic during the CBC blood test to enter the raffle draw.

(Grade 1 Students ONLY) Blood Test (CBC Test)

Following the on-site screenings, the final step is a CBC (Complete Blood Count) test to get a detailed look at your child’s overall health. Kindly visit the nearest Medcare facility with your child and bring along their Superhero Card to complete CBC test.

Your child’s CBC report will be shared via a link on SMS or email, offering you a deeper understanding of your child’s health.

Visit your Nearest Medcare Clinic or Hospital

Once all mandatory test for the particular grade are completed, your child is eligible a lucky draw. Simply visit the nearest Medcare facility with your child to submit raffle ticket, entering them into the draw for a trip to IMG Worlds of Adventure —a thrilling reward for their participation. This concludes their superhero health journey!

The Superpower Project Raffle Draw

Eligibility

Kids who complete their mandatory health screenings and earn 5 stars on their Superhero Card are entered into a raffle draw with a chance to win a pass to IMG Worlds of Adventure!

Winners

Three lucky winners will be chosen, and the announcement will be shared through your child’s school.

Raffle Draw Terms and Conditions

Important information for participants of the Superpower Project raffle draw.

1. Eligibility

The raffle is open to all children enrolled in the Superpower Project who have completed all mandatory health screenings and earned 5 stars on their Superhero Card.

2. Raffle Ticket Submission

Parents must fill in their child's details on the back of the raffle ticket received after the school screenings. The completed raffle ticket must be submitted during their visit to Medcare Clinic or Hospital.

3. Draw Date

The raffle draw will take place after all schools have completed screenings, and winners will be notified via communication from their respective schools.

4. Prizes

Three winners will receive a pass to IMG Worlds of Adventure, which includes admission for One (1) person per winner.

5. Prize Redemption

Winners must claim their prize within 30 days from the notification date. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of the prize.

6. Transferability

Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.

7. General Conditions

By participating in the raffle, parents agree to the terms and conditions outlined here. Medcare reserves the right to modify or cancel the raffle at any time, with prior notification to participants.

Program Eligibility & Participation

What age group is eligible for the Superpower Project?

The program is designed for students within the GEMS school network. Screenings are adapted to different grade levels to ensure age-appropriate assessments.

Is there a cost associated with the screenings?

No, all screenings included in the Superpower Project are complimentary. The program is fully supported by DHA and Medcare, with the goal of promoting preventive health for children.

Can I choose to skip certain screenings for my child?

While participation in all screenings is encouraged for a complete health assessment, parents have the choice to opt-out of specific screenings. However, please note that your child needs to complete all mandatory screenings for their specific grade/year to qualify for the raffle draw.

Scheduling & Preparation

When will the school screenings take place, and will I be notified?

The school will inform you of the specific screening dates and times in advance. Medcare’s medical team will coordinate with the school to ensure a smooth process with minimal disruption to your child’s regular school schedule.

How can I prepare my child for the screenings?

The screenings are non-invasive and child-friendly, so no specific preparation is needed. However, you might want to reassure your child that the screenings are painless and will help keep them healthy.

Are there any dietary restrictions before the CBC test?

No fasting or specific dietary preparation is necessary for the CBC blood test. Your child can eat normally before the screening.

The Screening Process

How long does each screening take?

On average, each screening (Eye, Hearing, Back Posture, and Dental) takes about 3-5 minutes. The CBC blood test is quick, typically taking less than 10 minutes at the clinic.

What does my child need to bring for the CBC test?

Please bring along the Superhero Card and Raffle Ticket (received at school) and your Emirates ID for registration at the clinic.

Which grade students are eligible for the CBC screening test?

The CBC screening test is mandatory for Grade 1 students and is complimentary. However, students in other grades are welcome to complete the CBC screening at their own expense.

Can parents also undergo these screenings?

Yes, parents are welcome to complete the same screenings at their own expense. However, the Superpower Project program only covers screenings for children.

Health Reports & Results

How can I access my child’s health report?

The results of the school screenings will be available at your child’s school with the medical officer for your reference. The blood test (CBC) results done at the clinic will be shared via SMS/email link.

What if the health screening identifies a potential issue?

Should any concerns arise from the screenings, Medcare will provide a referral form to the school, and you will be notified by the school medical staff.

How secure is my child’s health information?

Medcare is committed to maintaining strict confidentiality and adheres to DHA’s guidelines on data privacy. All health reports and screening details will be securely accessible only by you.

The Superhero Card & Raffle Draw

What does the Superhero Card and star system involve?

The Superhero Card is a fun and engaging way for children to track their progress through the screenings. Your child will earn all five stars once they complete all mandatory health screenings and become eligible for the raffle draw. This card not only motivates children but also celebrates their commitment to health.

How does the raffle entry work?

Grade 1 Students: Once your child’s CBC screening is done, fill in their details on the back of the raffle ticket received at school and drop it off at the clinic collection box.
Other Grade Students: Kindly visit the Medcare medical centers/hospitals to fill in the details on the back of your raffle tickets and drop them in the collection box at the clinic. This entry gives them a chance to win amazing rewards!

How will I know if my child is eligible for the raffle?

After completing all mandatory health screenings and collecting 5 stars on the Superhero Card, your child will qualify for the raffle draw.

How many winners will be selected, and what is the prize?

Three lucky winners will be chosen from the raffle, each receiving a visit to IMG Worlds of Adventure—a fantastic day of fun and excitement!
